17 Year old Steve Humphries from Miami took out the double at the Shane Cross Memorial Skate Jam held at Pizzey Park supported by the G.C.C.C.

Steve Humphries

The day organized to celebrate the life and lifestyle of a young Gold Coast skater who died in a tragic accident. Friends and fans joined together and skated their hearts out while bands the ‘Wrath” and ‘Girth” belted out the tunes. Steve nailed tricks in the Bowl Jam such as a Nollie frontside heel flip tail stall and a gutsy ollie over the chicken chute into the giant Pizzey bowl and in Park nailed a giant ollie over the box to flat, and the old tuck knee indy over the hip. Lee Ralph blew minds in the bowl as did likewise Trent Fahey in the park. Globe and Concrete Skate Parks also supported the event.

RIP Shane Cross.
