Australia’s Mick Fanning claims his 2nd Association of Surfing Professionals World Title at the Billabong Pipeline Masters today.

Fanning sealed the title when his close rival Joel Parkinson was surprisingly eliminated in his round three heat by wild card Hawaiian surfer Gavin Gillette.

Fanning was also eliminated from this event in round four by close friend and fellow Coolangatta surfer Dean Morrison.
